The Holdup Tucson Concert reviews
Not what we expected
We had been looking forward to this concert for months. It was the first time we saw a concert at Citizens Bank Park. Got the tix for my fiance as an anniversary present back in March, one of our favorite bands. They are so talented but played too many songs by other artists. They jammed out to Dave Matthews for like 15 minutes... I love DMB, have seen them several times live... but if I wanted to go to a DMB concert, I would have. I was excited to hear a lot of the classics from their first 2 albums along with tracks from the new album. They also took so many long, awkward breaks and there was a super long intermission. Not cool. Also, they played End of the Road by Boys II Men... a great jam, yes... but again, I went to hear The Holdup... COUNTRY... not another cover... Worst of all though, (this is not a knock against ZBB because I don't think they are 100% in charge of logistics/set-up, maybe more the fault of Citizens Bank Park), our seats SUCKED. They basically had to watch the big screens because they were so far away. I spent $209 on seats in the Diamond Club right behind home plate thinking that we would have a central view of the stage... Oh no... they had the stage set up all the way out in the back of center field, it was ridiculous how far away they were. If they come back to Philly I will get pit tickets or standing room tix so we can get close enough to actually see what we paid for... and only if we know they aren't going to spend half the concert jamming out playing covers. And it was weird, we were the ONLY people in the Diamond Club... I can't believe I paid that much money for such terrible seats.
